SACD MEDIA STATEMENT

The South African Church Defenders has released an official statement on the CRL Section 22 Ad Hoc Committee’s Draft Self-Regulatory Framework.

The Church did not mandate this process.

“Voluntary” regulation can become coercive.

Abuse is a criminal matter, not a reason to regulate faith.

The Church is accountable to God, its members, and existing law - not state-facilitated structures.
