About SACD
Defending Religious Freedom
The South African Church Defenders is dedicated to safeguarding the constitutional rights and spiritual independence of churches in South Africa. We stand against unjust regulation, policy misrepresentation, and any infringement on religious liberties. Our mission is to champion accountability, not control, and to ensure that the voice of the Church is heard and respected.
The South African Church Defenders (SACD) is a non-partisan Christian advocacy movement that defends the Church’s spiritual and constitutional freedoms. We respond to threats including regulatory overreach, unconstitutional legislation, and the marginalisation of Spirit-led ministries. SACD believes in accountability, not control, and upholds the right of every church to worship and operate freely within the framework of our democracy.
